do you have a facility report charities in northern ireland? Plenty of charities to choose from in that part of the world that are up to God knows what?

    • admin says:

There is no register of N. Ireland charities yet. The form here will now accept an HMRC number for a N. Ireland charity.

  2. manfriday says:

One charity in particular (Autism NI) charity number: XR22944 is extraordinarily involved in lobbying for an Autism Bill, an attempt to change the legislation surrounding autism as a disability.

this charity is and for the past 20 years has been well funded (very well!) by the government (health trusts, etc) and has basically run the show in Northern Ireland regarding autism, for 20 years. The same CEO has been in charge for those 20 years!!! They had half a million in their coffers according to their last annual report – money that has gone ???? .

this charity needs a FULL and complete investigation. Their website is all about fundraising, all they do is ask for money and more money, but they dont actually do much.

    please investigate them
    thank you
(parent of autistic children living in Northern Ireland)

I submitted this information for you now that the report form accepts NI charity numbers. Unfortunately Autism NI’s published Annual Report does not contain its accounts, only a deliberately unreadable photo of its balance sheet.

  3. manfriday says:

Hi, the Charities Commission in Northern Ireland will soon be fully up and running, requiring all charities to register with them.

Yes, interesting that this charity ‘smudged’ only the figures in their annual report – everything is crystal clear in the report, totally legible.

They have just completed their AGM and the new annual report will be out soon – will forward copy to you when it is published. This charity NEEDS an investigation, having spent 100′s of thousands of pounds emanating from membership fees etc on lobbying for a useless autism bill. It tries to speak for Northern Ireland, when in fact it only speaks for itself.
MOre and more people are wising up to what is going on, but its all politics.

  4. Oliver Lines says:

Charities are one big screw. If you try to report them the government has such a large form it puts you off reporting them. Insted of aan easy form. Everyone knows Oxfams politically biased.

  5. Jim says:

Are you seriously naming and shaming charities that are facing/going through major cuts to their budget through government spending cuts. These charities are trying their hardest to secure private donations to ensure that the work they carry out can continue.

I cannot work out what you aim to achieve with this site, its existance alone will put off investors who you appear to be saying should be the major contributors to these charities.

  6. John_Fitzpatrick says:

How do I go about getting the published accounts of a charity please, anyone?

I would like to dob in an odious little operation in my part of the world which i suspect is heavily subsidised by local government and engaged in grant farming but I have no idea how to substantiate this.
